The best thing about this is the "running water". I had to search a while to find a foot operated air pump, and sometimes the connection from the 5 gallon collapsable bags I have get lose, but overall it's great.
You can press the pump and water comes out of the sink. It's great for hand washing, face washing and dish washing. The sink is pretty shallow though. The whole thing folds up in to the counter and it's rather long/heavy but very stable. Overall, this was a great purchase and I was the envy of the other campers! |
Makes for a great camping experience!!!

We are avid campers and thought we had the whole 'camp kitchen' experience down perfectly! We purchased from a brick and mortar store on sale to free up the picnic tables at our campsites. WOW! We love having running water at camp! You can set up in a few different configurations, but we find it best to maximize our kitchen space and set-up as a long kitchen are as opposed to an 'L' shape. Since we usually set up at the end of our campsite next to a screen house, we sometimes need to add flat rocks or a flat piece of firewood to the end if the campsite slopes, but don't have any problem with the unit being unstable. The main unit has little screw feet to level the unit, but the wire section does not. Not a problem at all. Every campsite is different. We set up inside an REI screen tent (with rain fly) during bad weather and we can still cook even in the worst weather.
As for the sink area, which is the main part, the sinks aren't very deep, but the faucet part does move side to side and up a down a bit. We like to use hot water to wash dishes, so we heat water when we are done cooking, add cold water from the faucet and use a camp cup to rinse the dishes. We find it easier to have the fresh water elevated a bit (see our photo) and the gray water sits lower down. Once you start using, you'll know how much you need to pump and can gauge how much pumping you need to do for the amount of water you need. It's really nice to have a place to wash your hands right at your campsite. We use eco-friendly camping soap and keep a roll of paper towels next to the sink. It comes with two sink plugs and the 's' hooks for hanging your pans and utensils from the top wire behind the sink. We don't want to scratch the sink covers, so we bring a separate cutting board.
Overall a nice unit. We have not had any problems with the legs, but I agree that they seem to be the area that may give out first. It comes with a strap to hold the unit together and make it easier to transport. Since we are car campers, we don't have an issue with the size or weight of the unit. |
Great investment!

This thing is so well built! There are a few plastic parts that if not taken care of could probably give you troubles in time. But make not mistake about it, it is a great investment.
Oh and fair warning, its is well built, so it is a bit on the heavy side, there is a carry handle built onto the side when its collapsed. |
Still love this kitchen!

The temperature has dropped and it is camping time again! Got this kitchen last year and I had forgoten how great it was until last weekend when we headed to the ol' state park. I cant believed we ever camped without it. It is absolutley worth the money. It just makes cooking and cleaning sooo much easier. Dual sinks, cutting boards, running water and a metal wire table that attaches to 6 different places for versatility. This will make all of your camping neighbors envious. I agree that the legs could be sturdier but I have not had any real problem with it. We keep our Coleman griddle on the side table and cook on it without worry because it is so sturdy.
I have made one modification: As the air from the foot pump blew thru the tubing to the water jug, it made a loud whistle with each pump. weee-huh! weee-huh! I was worried about waking the neighbors and you know, my leg kinda got tired of pumping. So..I replaced the colapsable water jug with a solid one and added a Reliant battery powered pump. It works perfectly. Now we have push button running water.
Anyway, no more washing hands, brushing teeth and cleaning pans by pouring water out of a jug. Every camp site needs this set up. Highly recomend this camp kitchen. |

| I have been tent camping for years and had a great DIY kitchen set-up. The GSI Kitchen is even better. Good quality, easy set up, and compact for travel. The water spout is in a fixed position and too low to rinse things. I replaced it with a shower head and pump which works great. I highly recommend this item. |
