| Take it to the streets with Spalding's officially sized and affordably priced NBA Street basketball. It's designed to withstand the street game with a durable outdoor rubber cover. It features deep, black channels for expert handling on the court and all-ball pebbling for a good grip. This official NBA sized ball--with the official NBA logo and NBA Commissioner David Stern's signature--has a 29.5-inch circumference.
The official NBA logo is featured on this official-size ball. |
The pebbled texture on the surface of the ball provides an outstanding grip and feel. | About Spalding As a Division of Russell Corporation, the Spalding Group consists of three business units: Spalding in Springfield, MA; American Athletic, Inc. | Ball is well constructed and comes well packaged. Seems durable as well. Note that this is a rubber ball and therefore will be rougher on the hands than an indoor leather ball. I'm happy with it. |
good outdoor ball . . .

| For an outdoor basketball, grip, durability and balance, are probably the most important considerations. Spalding's `Street' basketball ranks pretty high in those key departments. You get a nice firm grip, the durability of the pebbled finish seems to be pretty good, and you get a nice bounce on various types of hardcourts. The grip may not be as good as Spalding's NBA `Legacy' ball, but it is very close. Like many outdoor type balls, it may feel a little heavy on an indoor court. It's reasonably priced, so if you need an outdoor ball, you really can't go wrong with this one. |

The basketball is good in many ways, good grip, great price, great bounce, great size, and great overall feel. The basketball is really good, bounces really well.
Don't pass up this ball!
The only bad thing is that the ball I received did not look like the picture, it does not have the NBA Commissioner David Stern's signature on it like the picture shows and the descriptions say.
The "street" did not look like the picture, it looks more of a ghetto style print "street"..but for sure the ball is great, but I'm not 100% sure of its legitimacy, maybe its some fake spalding import, let me know what ball you guys got, did your ball live up to the description and picture? |
A pretty good ball

My son gave me this for my birthday and it's been used a couple times a week on asphalt, sun, rain, and snow and still looks new. The grip is excellent and it feels close enough to a leather ball that you won't be freaked out by the difference.
Let's be honest, you need a decent quality basketball for when friends come over or when you step outside and address the 4 for 56 three point shooting streak you are on. You could use the Spongebob Squarepants basketball your kid bought at Wal-Mart or you can ask for a decent looking Spalding basketball. I would go for the Spalding. Even if you can't knock down the outside shot or defend anyone, at least you look good coming and going from the game. |
