| These are lighter than the Saucony Hurricane and perform very well for moderate stability running shoes. They dry out quickly and are a good value for the money. That was a lot of random comments, but overall, I really like them. |

| The best pair of shoes I ever wore. These shoes are as comfortable as slippers. Their flexibility is awesome whether running or walking. |
Brooks Trance Series

Like all running shoes, reviews are 90% subjective. So just because this shoe works well for me does not mean it will work well for you.
If you are new to running, running shoes work like this: Try on a bunch, run on the ones that feel good and do not contribute to any aches or pains, and then stick with that model. These were the shoes that work for me. I have about 1200+ miles logged into 3 pairs of these series 8 shoes. And that is the reason I am not giving these 5 stars - you should get close to 500 miles a pair. I tend to get around 300 on these till they start to lose cushion and start hurting my knees. Which is actually not bad for someone 190lbs, 6'2", mild pronation, and 5 day a week runner who does not rotate shoes.
Nice shoes, comfortable, biodegradable (nice!), being an older series replaced by the 9's (which are awesome, just not worth $50 more then these), and a decent buy at the "Today's deals" Amazon price.
One tip if you are new- buy a size larger then you think you are with ALL running shoes. I'm an 11 regular and I buy 12 regulars. Feet swell when you run and it's important that your toes do not rub/slam into the front of your shoes. |
Partial to the adrenaline

| These shoes are very good. I generally like Brooks. I am more partial to the brooks adrenaline, but I think that is more of a personal preference/fit. These seem to have a very generous sized width, a plus for a lot of people. |
So far so good

The first day I put on this pair for 3-mile running, I did feel better. Usually I would feel mild sourness on my knees after running. However on that day, the sourness didn't appear at all.
I have mild over-pronation. Even though later on when I put them on for running I still feel some sourness on my legs, the first day impression still makes me believe this pair of motion controllers do have some effect.
I have been using them for running and walking only for about 1 moth. So far so good. |
