Perfect training for Goalies, September 19, 2009

We use this to train our Goalies on our Girl Mite team. The only caveat is you have to roll it on the slower side to get the “funky” bounces. When rolled at high speed it doesn’t take odd hops as we were hoping. We also tried it in a scrimmage to make the strikers and mid fielders have to move more, but as I state, when moving at high speeds it tends to go straight.

Daughter loves it!, June 13, 2010

Bought this for my daughter’s ninth birthday. Great product, she is a soccer nut and immediately took it to the yard and played with it. Does just what it should. Word of caution, though, keep it off the sidewalk and away from dogs…the foam will nick up easily on rough surfaces and is nearly irresistible as a chew toy…even for well trained dogs! We haven’t had a problem with it..it comes in when she does and has held up well!

These are barely even shag balls. Most of them look like they’ve been in dirty water for months, and the rest of them had smileys. Find a better deal.

Balls were generally poor quality, August 30, 2011

I have purchased a couple of different bags of shag balls. This was my first set through Amazon. The balls were generally pretty banged up. I have had much better luck at walmart where I can see the balls. Maybe they are taking advantage of the fact that you can not see them first. Who knows.

The price was right, but you got what you paid for. Probably half weren’t worth hitting into the woods, which is what i did. However, if that is what you want….Many had splits and cracks, and some brands I hadn’t seen in 10 years or so!! But, that is sort of what was advertised, so I guess i got what I paid for, just expected a little better.

Great Ball!, December 8, 2011

This was the first rugby ball that I have ever purchased. It was a bargain for only .90 including shipping(It’s more now). My only complaint would be that the grip wears down rather quickly. I’m sure serious rugby players would be able to notice the difference in grip after a few weeks. I never did until I ordered 3 more flag balls(of a different country). I was able to feel a noticeable difference between the two. All of my friends seem to enjoy playing with this ball during lunch(none of them were ever interested in rugby before). This ball would be great to get a beginner involved in the game of rugby or even for the avid fan. It kicks well, throws well, bounces well, and performs exactly to meet my needs. In the customer image that I have posted, you can see that the ball is the standard size(much larger than my hand). I would recommend this to anyone curious in rugby. It has turned me into a rugby fan and makes me want to start playing the game more seriously. I was impressed…

Finally Adidas got it right for a World Cup!, July 21, 2011

As football fans we all know every World Cup there’s an issue in regards to the quality of match balls, the most recent example of Adidas getting it wrong was the ‘Jabulani’ at South Africa 2010. However these new ‘Speedcell’ have been used from the Women’s World Cup to the U-17′s and U-20′s without any complaints. Fifa even regards the ‘Speedcell’ as the highest rating ball in quality tests (although they always seem to say that) this time it may be true!

I picked up this ball at a gold box discount for .99 the original selling price is 0 so when I saw the deal I pounced on it since then the price has fluctuated but never at the ‘gold box price’ as I am writing this review amazon’s price dropped back to 79.99; at this price it’s a steal for football fans.

The ball looks like HDTV in your hands it’s that cool, it comes inflated but not ready to play, (as noted in the product info) it also has a ball pump needle which I was not expecting. It feels well…

speedcell is by far the best ball i’ve ever used!, July 26, 2011

This ball is amazing. Super light, great speed and rebound off kicks. Simply put the best I have experienced. It looks great and feels great with the new “profile” or grooves it has as a design. I would recommend to any soccer fan, that is why I bought another one just tso days ago because, I know how great of a ball it is.

Great ball!, July 29, 2011

I have had the training ball and decided to get the official ball. Cheaper pricing than at Adidas therefore I got it. It has a natural more true flight than any other ball.
